Following another loss in a winnable game, there is really only one thing left to talk about; the almost certain departure of Robert Griffin III from the Washington Redskins. The coach is not sold. The fans have doubts. And if reports are to be believed, the owner and GM are fine with the kid being benched.

This week the boys talk about Griffin and his continued struggles at quarterback. They guess how much longer number 10 will be behind center. One of the boys believe the end is closer than you might think.

In one of the most remarkable press conferences in the history of the Washington Redskins, head coach Jon Gruden took to the microphone to offer a scathing criticism of Robert Griffin III as a quarterback. Gruden’s comments cast doubt over the long-term prospects of Griffin in Washington, and it’s hard to see a way forward with both coach and player on the same team.

This week the boys talk about the coach, the quarterback, and the way ahead. They breakdown Gruden’s comments, and ask who the real audience was for the assessment on Griffin. They wonder what a world without Griffin on the team looks like, and why is a date in early May so important?

With the bye week just one game away, the Redskins decided to start Robert Griffin III ahead of Colt McCoy, who was responsible for two straight victories prior to the game in Minnesota.

Griffin played well-enough to win, had the defense played a little better. But Griffin also played well enough to lose; throwing an inexcusable interception and failing to convert an easy 4th-and-6.

When the smoke cleared the Redskins had dropped another game; falling to 3-6.

Tampa Bay looms next and represent a chance to return to the win column, And three years in; a grade is beginning to emerge on Griffin the quarterback.

In the midst of another struggle against a bad team, Kirk Cousins was pulled in favor of Colt McCoy. All he did was come in and put up some impressive numbers, to include the game-winning drive at the end of the game.

But given the road ahead, it will take more than just a third-string quarterback to dig the Redskins out of this hole.

This week the boys discuss the close win against Tennessee. They discuss the Cousins benching, who is likely to start, and what will happen Monday night in Dallas.

Enjoy!
